Data Exploration Tool
Accumulating operational data to inform future planning
Fleet management often prioritizes real-time operations, but long-term success requires understanding historical data. This tool offers a user-friendly, customizable platform that extracts key trends from past operations, including task source, vehicle usage, and time-based patterns. By visualizing this data, businesses can optimize resource allocation and strategically plan for the future.
The User Researcher built personas typically involved in a fleet business. The team then plan the solution offerings they should build to have a full-ecosystem solution for fleet business. The team agrees that harnessing accumulated historical data gathered by Connected Fleet is the closest connected solution we had to build.
The process began with aligning the vision of the product. We created medium-fidelity prototypes during discussions to ensure everyone is on the same page. Our component library simplified the preparation of these prototypes.

Recognizing the solution's potential beyond fleet management, the team ensured the solution’s ease-of-use beyond fleet management, validating interaction and visual patterns with diverse users. We developed and tested intuitive interaction and visual patterns with users both within and outside the fleet industry.
While the product implementation was ongoing, we also began working with marketing teams to prepare a compelling demo for upcoming conferences. The marketing team's positive response, based on the product's ease of use, validated its broad appeal.
